The 6 Best Weight Loss Foods

Pin to remember this great recipe!

No one ever said that weight loss is easy (well, no one that wasn’t trying to get rich off of you, anyway). Thankfully, there are a few food choices that you can make that will help speed up the process. In this article, you’ll find 6 of the best foods for weight loss.

Healthy Weight Loss Foods:

1. Apples

I’m sure that you’ve heard the saying, “An apple a day keeps the doctor away”. The reason for this is that apples contain many nutrients, such as, vitamins, minerals and fiber. Of course, fiber helps the food to move through your body a bit faster and keeps you feeling full longer. And apples do all of that while staying low in calories and fat!

2. Cabbage

I’m not suggesting you start the cabbage soup diet, but there’s a reason why it’s so popular. Cabbage is extremely low in calories and very high in fiber. It also contains a decent amount of Vitamin C, which has been proven to help aid in fat reduction. No matter how you look at it, that spells weight loss.

3. Cauliflower

Naturally low in both calories and fat, cauliflower is a favorite of many dieters who like to used this vegetable as a substitute for guilt-inducing mashed potatoes. Cauliflower’s also high in fiber and contains many important vitamins and minerals.

4. Pumpkin

Very low in calories, very high in fiber and can even satisfy a sweet tooth, pumpkin is close to being an ideal weight loss food. Just be careful not to eat yours surrounded by a pie shell!

5. Spinach

Instead of using iceberg lettuce to make your salad, try using spinach instead. Not only does it have twice as much flavor, but it has twice as much fiber, too.

appleFiber, fiber, fiber. Are you starting to see a pattern here? Fiber is an important and necessary part of all balanced diets, especially if you are trying to lose weight. It will add bulk to your stool and also help to move it through your body. Please keep in mind that it is important to increase your water intake as you increase your daily fiber. Fiber can lead to dehydration. Now go grab a glass of water and an apple!
